Open day- events are held annually in January and February. Varia Peek courses and Varia familiarisation tours take place in spring and autumn for students and groups from basic education.

In addition, Varia representatives tour primary schools to introduce the vocational college to the graduating students, and organise information sessions for parents and guardians.

Open day- events

Open day events are held in all Varia campuses yearly in January or early February. The events are aimed at applicants for vocational qualification degrees in the spring joint application system.

During the events, guided tours are organised in Hiekkaharju, Koivukylä, Myyrmäki and Aviapolis, where students and teachers present their fields. The event will also feature company displays, interactive activities and campus-specific contests.

Varia familiarisation tours

Varia familiarisation tours give you access to all of Varia's campuses, facilities, departments, courses and classes, guided by Varia's tutor students and staff members. You should reserve about an hour for a tour of the site.

The Varia familiarisation tours in autumn are mainly aimed at primary school students in the 9th and preparatory grades. The spring Varia familiarisation tours are mainly aimed at 8th graders.

Varia Peek courses

Varia Peek courses are intended for 8th and 9th graders. The aim is to help primary school students to find a field of interest and choose their preferred study programme in the joint application system.

The Varia Peek course gives students a practical introduction to vocational studies. In addition, you will hear about the experiences of students in the field and get to know the facilities, teachers and other staff.

If you are interested in taking part in the Varia Peek course, ask your student counsellor to sign you up and if necessary, find out more about the course. Varia Peek courses are free of charge.
