Introduction

TUVA education combined previous additional basic education (10th grade), preparatory education for general upper secondary education (LUVA) and preparatory education for basic vocational education (VALMA).

TUVA education aims to attain such learning skills with which the student performs education leading to an upper secondary education degree. During TUVA education you can raise your basic education grades, perform high school and vocational education studies, as well as boost your learning …skills. When applying for education, you do not yet have to know whether you want to continue in high school education or in vocational education.

Application for preparatory education for programs leading to an upper secondary qualification (TUVA education):

Apply for education by submitting an online application form at: opintopolku.fi.
You can change your wishes during the application period. The application period ends on March 19, 2024, at 15:00.
Apply for TUVA education on the same form you apply for high school and vocational basic degree.
You can enter 7 wishes on the form.
The order of your preferences matters. Enter the best alternative first.

Student selection

Student selections will be published on June 13, 2024.
Student selections will be notified by email as of June 13, 2024.
You must notify the education arranger of your acceptance of the study place as soon as possible; however, at the latest on June 27, 2024.
